Why go without?
Confidence is worth a fight. I have struggled with confidence as a young women and even today. I write about confidence building and make it a large part of my blog because I think it deserves attention. I have not completely overcome my personal insecurities, but have strategies I use to consistently build my self image that I wish to share.
No Make-up No Problem:
(1. It is so good for your skin to breathe.
(2. Your skin slowly becomes more radiant and clear by going without foundation.
(I have been without foundation for 6 months and now have few blemishes)
(3. No crutch for feeling beautiful.
(4.Getting ready just got faster.
(5. Share the action of embracing your natural beauty with women around you.
Boost their confidence by example.

The purpose of this post is to help all women step back from cosmetics to see the beauty they hold naturally. This post was inspired by the amazing Colbie Caillat’s try video (linked above middle). I feel this message is key to confidence building. This song by Colbie Caillat perfectly expresses the many struggles for women both young and old. The world tells women not to love themselves as they are, but to put all their effort into becoming “perfect”. Women should respect themselves enough to take care of themselves but not put all their self worth in their appearance. Working so hard to meet the world’s standard of perfection can take away from being who you want to be. The world should not build our young women’s personalities.
Going without make-up can help women see their natural beauty more clearly. Embracing natural beauty and sharing that can cause a miraculous ripple effect. Young women see those older than them and around them use make-up to hide their beauty and we send the wrong message by doing this. Join me and go without make-up for a change.
Confidence can also be uplifted by the company you keep, the music you listen to, and the media you absorb. Select your friends wisely, keeping in mind that those who love you as you come are true friends. Choose friends who uplift you and increase your self esteem. Select music that empowers you and celebrates who you want to be. Media can be harmful or helpful. Choose confidence in everything you do.
Here are a few of my favorite songs right now. I hope you enjoy.
