This time of year feels magical when you’re in a candlelit room listening to harmonic Christmas music with lights twinkling in the background as you sip hot cocoa. However, if you run into the mall that spirit fades into the high tempo of Jingle Bells and cash registers ringing while you fight for your personal space. Jolene and I have been hidden in a candlelit room much more these past few weeks, in our attempt at avoiding germs. This has taught me to appreciate the calm atmosphere and simple benefits that come with a quieter pace. Life naturally slows down to introduce you to parenthood. One day it’s really hard and you look out in disbelieving laughter at all the people around doing this same work with ease. How can everyone be doing this and still juggling life? The truth is; we all have hard days. We all have moments when we look out thinking is anyone else doing this same task…. with ease? Maybe? or Maybe they are struggling in silence looking out with wonder just like you. All moments are not picture perfect but the real good stuff happens in between the really hard and the really pretty. These moments are shared with are best friends filled with love, the messiest hair, and no make up. These are the moments that house genuine connection and preserve the truest love. You’ll be tempted to document the beauty but don’t take a picture or record what was said, just smile and know that this sweet moment isn’t for anyone else but YOU. Soak it in. You are living your best life. Thanks for stopping by! Happy holidays to you and your families.
