The first day of middle school was filled with adventure; new friends and new boys to crush on. The classrooms were shimmering and unexplored. Then us 6th graders made our way to P.E. or physical education. Walking down the stark white hallway a unique smell presented itself and only worsened for the hour. The uniforms we were assigned on the first day looked like they were pulled out of a dumpster or a boys nasty old closet. I remember thinking how my uniform might need to go ‘missing’ soon. These memories make me laugh as I know many have similar experiences. Luckily working out today is different for many reasons. You choose your own physical education. If you are a volleyball player on Saturdays, a tennis star Thursday nights, or maybe you like to run to clear your mind; You are in control. I motivate myself with the wardrobe. Perhaps, still delighted I don’t have to pull old boys clothes out of a pile in P.E. to work out, I love a good set of yoga pants and an open back tank. Although I will confess that I have worked out only a handful of times this year but worn athletic attire 4 days out of every week or more. Also a perk of being an adult and not a 6th grader. No dress code. If you want to take barre to renew your motivation to health with some fun sticky socks and an instaworthy studio come see us at Pure Barre!
