Our love of design continues with the cherished bathroom we spend so much time in. We moved into our home exactly a year ago. Once we did it reminded us how high a priority the primary bathroom has been. In each home, we have poured energy into our personal shower and sinks with such attention to detail.
We have never regretted the effort we spent on making our bathroom a place we enjoy being in. When we move in July of 2021, I knew we would make some changes to the primary bathroom just after moving in but wasn’t sure about our vision for the space.
Jake and I knew we wanted a double shower head, and a stand-alone tub but had few design ideas. We decided to make this project a fun one. With only a look between us, I dialed up House Sprucingin hopes of getting on their projects list. House Sprucing did an exquisite job from the beginning with communicating on dates and mood boards to get things started.
Jake and I knew we wanted this space to be FUN! We threw out the idea of painting the cabinets light pink with brass details or a bold floor pattern but knew we wanted bumpers up on this bowling alley of decisions. We shared our goal of FUN design with the interior design team which was met with big smiles around the table. Except we were standing on a concrete slab looking at what used to be the bathroom.
We had done bathroom remodels in the past with no design assistance and played it safe with tile choices and colors. However, we had worked with House Sprucingbefore and knew the level of talent we were getting, so we decided to maximize our output with high levels of creative freedom.
The only input I gave up during our initial design meeting was on flooring and an inspirational photo from a kitchen in Provence France. The flooring that I wanted to incorporate was a rustic clay tile on the floor., included in the kitchen inspiration shot This is a texture I had longed to work with for years but always shied away from use with the thought of it being too risky.
House Sprucing sent us a mood board and completely blew us away. They quickly sent over orders for materials and let us know that some of our selections would be delayed in shipment. We were ready to wait for incredible results.
House Sprucing stayed on budget and true to our needs during the entire process. The bathroom came alive with charm and character that feels older than this country we call home. The shower feels like a five-star resort I never want to leave. And the bath is an oasis to enjoy at the end of a long day.
Our primary bathroom is my favorite room in our home now, and I have laughed to myself thinking of how I could possibly host a dinner party within its walls.
House Sprucing uses its resources and deep talent to bring to life art, not just furnish a space. Our home is warmer because of House Sprucing’s delicate and seasoned touch. We are so thankful to have been able to work with them a second time. I know this won’t be our last project together. Thank you for stopping by!
