I don’t always sit on my kitchen counter in high heels but when I do it is because Shelley is over with her camera and orders me too. She can be very persuasive, it’s her nature. This week I went shopping; not for the blog but for me. For the last 4 years shopping has been a business centered undertaking. Shopping for the seasonal trends, magazine approved apparel, and promotional items for my partner brands. It was less and less fun every time. Each piece had a purpose and an agenda. We can all get into the business of ‘doing what we love’ becoming a ‘dreadful job with stress attached’. I am breaking away from the ‘must haves’ and focusing more on the ‘must dos’. I spend time baking which is a great love of mine. If i spend a few hours baking I feel much more myself with a clear mind and happy heart. This means a little less productivity on the business side but all good things require a little sacrifice. Many of you may have related conquests. It could be knitting, scrap booking, working out, any hobby that started as a love but morphed into a To-Do. Let’s take the time and focus the attention into doing what we love and keep on loving it. We don’t have the time to do things for the sake of doing things. Examine your time and how it’s spent. At the end of the day do you feel fulfilled or exploding with exhaustion? Make time for you and what you love to do. It doesn’t have to be much but it will make a difference to you! Thanks for stopping by!
