We schedule all the important things such as lunch dates, doctor appointments, errands, and grocery shopping but why not schedule free time too? Nothing beats a day at home with your dog. Lately I have been on break. I have uncluttered my home and my life a little bit. I have focused on spending my days taking care of me instead of ‘things’. My productivity is not as aggressive but I am in a much better state in the evening. When we get caught in the hustle and bustle of life we can forget about the important things and lose sight of how we are holding up. I try to schedule one day each week where I have a substantial amount of time at home with nothing on my to do list. This has truly made all the difference. Scheduling in free time. Sometimes it ends up being ‘catch up on laundry time’ but more often than not it is ‘I’m finally going to read my book and cuddle up with my dog time’. This kind of time is good for the soul no matter how you spend it. Schedule 30 minutes in this week or make it a whole day if you have the luxury. Take care of you and you’ll be so much more prepared to take care of everything else. Thanks for stopping by!
