The Four Seasons in Santa Barbara is divine. Built in 1927, this masterpiece of interior design is ornamented with service worthy of royalty at every turn. The tropical bird calls and swaying palm leaves transported us to an exotic jungle as we walked to dinner each night. Breakfast was brought to our room and enjoyed on the private patio as the sun came up. The environment of the Four Seasons in Santa Barbara is unparalleled in both comfort and inspiration.
We were so ready for a relaxing family getaway when we lifted off in Dallas and California was so good to us during our stay. This was our first stay with the Four Seasons and wow! They have us ready to book our next adventure.
Traveling with a baby is difficult. Before leaving I wasn’t sure that a relaxing stay could be a realistic goal when traveling as a family. Staying with the Four Seasons completely transformed the way I look at travel.
Things we loved:
-The Food: Fabulous and nourishing for the whole family.
-The Environment : Rainforest tranquility in a picturesque setting.
-Family Friendly Support: Wet wipes, a crib, and nontoxic baby shampoo at the ready upon arrival was just the start we needed. Jolene even got to select a beanie baby upon check in which made us both glow with delight. For families traveling with children they even have a child care option ready for booking.
-The Service: Feeling like royalty for a weekend. The staff met our needs with delight. We felt more like family guests. Staff that genuinely enjoy what they are doing makes you that much happier to be on vacation. No one was burdened by a question or concern but thankful to be of assistance. I am not sure how this is possible or what training makes that consistent throughout the building but it is beautifully done and creates a flowing ambiance of kindness and generosity.
–Cleanliness is Comfort: Taking a bath in a hotel is laughable, until you stay at the Four Seasons. I was comfortable enough in our bungalow and trusting enough to our cleaning staff to bathe Jo in the bathtub. This made for a bedtime routine filled with laughs and smiles from all three of us.
Jake and I both commented about how nice it was to have what you need without having to ask for it. This California getaway was a recharge in the right direction. Great food, good vibes, and wonderful people. Santa Barbara definitely spoke to us with dreams of coming back soon.
We will be recommending this location for a long time to come.
