The Rolling Stones
Taking a step back in time for trends right now because sometimes the best ideas were twenty years ago. It is tempting to only look forward pertaining to fashion; picturing that the best is yet to come. In this we can loose much of our valued past and forget the greatness that has already come and gone. My greatest inspiration from style to one liners has always been from movies. I love older films and there is a sweet spot of an era just after they brought color into film where the costume designers ruled the stage. Coco Chanel even designed for films and made an impact in the United States that way. That sweet spot of genius is from about 1950-1965 there were classic films set in history and I love to go back and watch them. It calls me to remember when life was all about laying in bed with my grandmother and eating BLTs for lunch during the summer. These older movies inspire me but also remind me that it is good to look forward and back when we are looking for new ideas. This look isn’t from the 50’s but it is fabulously retro. Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!
